Utilising either Local Area Networks (LAN) or Wide Area Networks (WAN), installers can now design and install fully integrated systems that can bring together the management of all aspects of an organisation’s security.

Building Management

Integration provides a truly single solution approach to building management, by enabling your staff to access all unmonitored events via one application installed on your server, rather than having to log into individual systems software.

Benefits

The main benefits of linking your security and fire systems are: -

Access Systems

• Issuing a single token programmed for building access and time & attendance monitoring removes the need for separate clocking in / out and cross referencing of systems.
• Track individuals and record their access details against the recording to track suspect users or stolen card users.

CCTV

• By linking CCTV images with access control events, the time spent “searching” the NVR is eliminated as the user can search for the specific event e.g . “door forced – IT suite” rather than viewing all events in a window of time e.g. Monday 10:00am – 13:00.
• Initiate camera pre-sets when specific pre-determined events occur, e.g. when an individual approaches a reception area, switch the camera to zoom into the door to identify the individual.

Intruder

• Set / unset the intruder system using an access reader. No need to use the intruder keypad.
• Disabling of access readers when the intruder system is in the armed state, to prevent false alarms due to unauthorised entry into an armed area.

Fire

• Muster Points will allow your staff and visitors to assemble at their designated fire point, and present their token to the reader, changing their status in the roll call report from 'missing' to 'safe', confirming to the Fire Marshall the building has been fully evacuated.
• CCTV cameras may also be linked to software to detect smoke or fire and provide a good early warning of fire.
