Do I need a maintenance contract?

Yes, we would recommend that all systems be maintained on at least an annual basis, with systems of a more complex nature or connected to a monitoring centre being maintained on a 6 monthly basis, to ensure compliance with industry standards.

The benefits of a maintenance contract

Depending on the type of system you have installed, our Engineers will rigorously carry out all relevant tests to check your system is operating correctly, helping to reduce unnecessary faults that could potentially cause system failure or breakdown.

As a part of the maintenance visit, we will also look at the original design system taking into account environmental or building changes. Now more than ever, the use of CCTV must take into account individual, staff and public privacy, and guarantee its use remains justified, reviewing your system regularly will help safeguard it’s compliance with industry and regulatory changes.

Having a maintenance contract agreement also entitles you to the use of our emergency out of hours call service. Giving you reassurance and peace of mind that there is always an Engineer on standby should you require assistance at any time of the day or night.

Non Maintained Systems

The most common faults found are software in need of upgrading, failure to do so can cause issues with recording and security features.

Environmental conditions, such as overgrown shrubbery, building alterations, or changes in car parking locations can all cause cameras to become obscured resulting in unusable CCTV footage.

Cameras that are not regularly cleaned and re-focused also lead to poor image quality that may be unusable in a prosecution.
